Bright Star Touring Theatre is one of the nation's largest providers of theatrical assemblies. This season the company will provide more than 4,000 live performances across the country and around the world. Shows cover topics like Bully Prevention, Black History, Women's History, STEM/STEAM, Social-Emotional Learning and Literary Classics, each Bright Star show challenges and engages young audiences. These 45 minute performances feature 2 professional actors. With 50+ shows across 20+ tours, Bright Star hasspecial cultural arts offerings that are at home in any space.

  • Assembly: Live Theatrical Performance Bright Star

    Bright Star has more than 50+ touring productions. Our tours travel with 3 different shows so that schools may mix and match programs on the same day to serve different age groups. We are the nation's largest provider of Black History and Anti-bullying programs. Touring shows include: 'Cherokee Tales,' 'Freedom Songs: The Music of Black History,' 'Anne Frank,' 'La Caperucita Roja--bilingual anti-bullying show, 'Peter Pan,' 'Winnie-the-Pooh' and more!

  • Virtual Engagement: Pre-recorded performances

    With all the changes to our world in the last few years, we’ve realized the need for artistic enrichment for everyone, even when we can’t always be together in person! Bright Star shows are educational, theatrical pre-recorded shows for schools on topics like Black History, Women's History, STEM/STEAM, Bully Prevention and Literary Classics. These 45 minute performances feature 2 professional actors. With a growing catalog of 35+ online shows, we have something for everyone!

    Duration: 45-50 minutes

    Grade Level: Pre-K, Elementary School, Middle School, High School

    Maximum Number of Students: 20 Classrooms

    Maximum Number of Performances: 30 Day Access

    Technical Requirements:

    • Sponsors will need use of a computer and internet access to view our virtual programming

    NC Essential Standards: All of our curriculum standards as well as study guides for each show are available on our website.

    Cost: $350 for 30 day access per individual show, $1,995 for full year of access to ALL our virtual shows

     

  • In-School Residency: Production based theatre...

    Production based theatre Camps 4 Titles available

    We offer a number of theatre camps. Our regular model has the students developing their own short scenes--here they work all week together to generate a public performance at the end of the week entirely created by the students. This camp is $4995. Our Production Camps are for up to 60 students and over the course of a week the students work to create a public performance of a 45-minute production. Here we provide the set, costumes, script and more for a real life theatre production. $5795. Schools and sponsors can charge campers to attend and the public to attend the performance.

    Duration: 1 Week of 90 minute sessions

    Grade Level: Elementary School, Middle School, High School

    Maximum Number of Students: 60

    Maximum Number of Performances: 4

    Technical Requirements:

    • Open Space to accommodate the students and perform the show.
