FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Tucked away in an unsuspecting intersection, a new piece of art is unfolding each day. More than a simple mural: This new painting tells the oral history of Fayetteville.
At first, the busy intersection looks like any other roadway – generic asphalt, green signs. Anywhere, USA. But look under the bridge, where it's usually dank and shadowy, and you'll find blasts of bright color that tell the story of the surrounding community. Murals like this give you a sense of place. This isn't just anywhere: This is Ramsey Street, and it's part of home.
